Title : Pilot's audio released: 'Engine flameout'
Summary : The issue being discussed is how the Taiwan airplane crashed. 31 people died in the plane crash,15 people are alive and 12 were still missing. The cause of the plane crash was because of a engine flameout and the pilot who had 5000 hours of plane experience avoided crashing into buildings to lessen the number of people hurt by the plane crash.

Response : I think it was a serious tragedy because a young man who was actually on the way to Xiamen to marry, died in the plane crash. Seeing how many planes are going missing or crash after the disappearance of MH370, I'm starting to think that Singapore planes may not be that safe either. The airplanes from many different countries have disappeared, one on the way from Indonesia to Singapore, thus it makes people panic. Though I am not hundred percent sure that Singapore airplanes are definitely safe, but as it is a main way of transport to other countries as it is faster, I would still have to take the plane nevertheless.

  1. I agree that Singapore planes are not definitely safe from crashes, but i believe that the respective airlines and Changi Airport makes sure to check for any defects in the plane before taking off. Airlines will not want to create another sensation by having a plane crash due to its negligence of checking whether the plane is safe to take off.
