This article talk about Americas president, Obama announced that power plant owners must cut carbon dioxide emissions by 32 percent from 2005 levels by 2030. This effort is to curb the problem of global warming. Electric power plants accounts for some 40 percent of U.S. emissions of Carbon dioxide.

Thoughts and feelings: I feel that Mr Obama move is not too late in talking global warming. In recent years, there are many natural disasters happening and weather patterns changing dramatically. This is all down to global warming. Too much carbon dioxide and heat trapping gases are produced by factories. I believe that if every party takes up this responsibility and curb carbon emmisions down, global warming wil definitely decreases and create a more sustainable place for humans to live in. People will not have to wear masks when they go out. Grey skies will turn to blue and a better world for us.

  1. Han Wei, you can talk more about the impacts of these harmful gases and how elderlies, little children or even pregnant women will get affected. I hope that these gases which is extremely harmful to our environment will be greatly reduced.
